Tour The Lough
NCC are running a cycle marathon around Lough Neagh on Sunday 1st June 2014. It's 100 mile challenge through the 5 counties bordering the Lough. Interest has been high. For full details contact Paul on 07747301263.

For those thinking of taking up the challenge, here is the first of a weekly advice column from 'The Master' - a local authority on all matters cycling:

NCCCC 1

The Naomh Colum Cille Cycling Challenge to cycle 100 miles through 5 counties and scoring a point in 5 hurling fields is no easy task, even for experienced cyclists. However, the hurling community is a tough one, and we have no doubt that many NCC members, friends and acquaintances will rise to the challenge.

The date has been set for early June 2014; but the time to consider signing up for the challenge is NOW, not in May. Do not look for excuses, regardless of your age, sex or fitness level anyone can prepare for this event. The bicycle is a great equaliser.

Step 1 - sign up for the challenge.

Step 2 - get a basic bicycle and rediscover cycling.

Step 3 - follow the advice given here each week.
