Seniors
NCC 0-16 Eoghan Ruadh Dún Geanainn 2-10
The Cilles second round robin game in the Tyrone Senior Hurling C'Ship took place on Saturday evening last (28 Aug) against neighbours and County Champions Dungannon Eoghan Ruadh at Edendork.
In a fast paced, full blooded encounter little separated the sides throughout. At half-time NCC were 0-6 to 1-2 ahead. The second half was as tight as the first but with 5 minutes remaining the Cilles had carved out a precarious 2 point lead. Eoghan Ruadh experience garnered a penalty with 3mins left and on dispatching it to the net, it looked like 'curtains' for the black and red.
For once it was not to be as up stepped young Séimí Ó hÁgáin at the death to win and send over a hard earned free thus drawing the game.
In a hardworking squad performance, best for the Cilles were Pete Corr (Killary), Mike O Gorman (Magheralamfield), Niall Ó Néill (The Glen), Shea McKiver (Gortaglough) and Paul Mór Ó Néill (Annaghmore)
Foireann: P Maguire, D Murphy, R Mór Ó Néill, P Corr (captaen), R (D) O'Neill, M O'Gorman, N Ó Néill, S McKiver (0-4,2f, 1 '65), J Connolly (0-1), Ro O'Neill (0-3), R (G) O'Neill, J Mór Ó Néill, E Kelly, P Ó Néill (0-1), S O'Hagan (0-6, 5f) .
