Na Sinsir (Seniors)

In the Ulster League the Cilles senior had two very competitive games during the week.

On Tues night (24 June 2014) they made the long journey to Inisowen to take on Donegal champions Burt. The concession of 2 early goals had us chasing the game throughout. The lads showed strong character minus a few regulars to take the game to the Inis Eoghain men, eventually losing 3-14 to 3-11 at the end. It was a welcome return to Páirc Chlochóg on Sat last (28th June) when league leaders Liatrom Fontenoys made the long journey to us from Sliabh Croob in South Down. After a real tooth and nail encounter, the Cilles emerged with the win on a 2-9 to 1-9 scoreline on a pitch perfect, radiant summers evening. This was a very determined squad performance and the unit showed great disciple and belief to carve out the victory and earn a bit of relaxation at the vibrant Tyrone Fleadh in the 'Island that evening.

We are back on the road this Saturday with a diffcult away encounter against Setanta of Killygordon. Throw-in is 4pm. The remaining Ulster league games are all home fixtures against Newry Shamrocks (Sat 19th July at 4pm), Knockbridge and Pearse Óg (both from Louth)

Liathroid Láimhe | Handball
The club hosted a successful one wall tournament in St Josephs High School, Coalisland on Wed 18th June.
Another historic milestone for the club took place on Sat (June  28) last when eight NCC handballers competed
for the first time in an Official Handball competition - the Ulster One Wall C'Ships in Loughmacrory. Up against
very experienced opposition, no one made it through to day 2 but they enjoyed themselves immensely and it augers well
for next season.

Bricfeasta Mór

The Big Breakfast last Sunday morning in the hall was a terrific success. The club thanks all those hardworking NCC lady volunteers for their tremendous efforts as well as the community for their support on a beautiful mid summers morning. Maith sibh.
